Charles Ramos

Biographical Information[edit]

Charlie Ramos umpired his first major league game on August 25, 2020, making him one of 19 umpires to make his debut in the majors that season, a result of the coronavirus pandemic. He and Alex MacKay were the least active among that group, as he worked 6 game and MacKay just 4. In none of the game was he the home plate umpire; his first two games were in Buffalo, NY, the temporary home of the Toronto Blue Jays, and the other four were spread over a pair of doubleheaders in the central divisions, where he acted as the fifth umpire of the respective crews.

He worked in the minor leagues in the Pioneer League Midwest League, Florida State League, Eastern League and International League. He was part of the umpiring crew for the 2016 Futures Game.

He is from Grand Rapids, MI.
