Biographical Information

Brother of Andy High and Hugh High, Charlie High was at Saint Louis University in 1917-19, the same time as Gene Robertson was there. He broke into the majors in September 1919, and although he hit poorly in 1919, he managed to come back in 1920, when he hit over .300.

During 14 seasons in the minors, he hit over .320 with nearly 200 home runs.
