Biographical Information[edit]
Charlie Grover had two games in the majors in September, 1913. He was three years younger than teammate Ty Cobb. The manager was Hughie Jennings. Charlie would go on to win 20 games in the minors in each of 1915 and 1916.
While several players have had the first name Grover (including, of course, Grover Cleveland Alexander), only one other player had the last name Grover. That was Roy Grover, who came to the majors a few years after Charlie.
