Biographical Information[edit]
Charlie Barber played in the Union Association for the Cincinnati Outlaw Reds in 1884, a team which won nearly two-thirds of its games. Charlie was the regular third baseman, although he was the weakest hitter among the regulars. At age 30, he was closest to the oldest man on the team. According to thedeadballera.com, Charlie later became a bricklayer and died of tuberculosis.
