Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Charles Baron played in the minors from 1931 to 1951, reaching as high as Triple-A in two seasons (1946 and 1947) - there was no such thing as AAA before 1946, but Baron spent 1943-1945 in AA, then the highest classification. He also spent 3 years in the Texas League. He led the 1937 East Texas League 1939 Southeastern League and 1944 American Association in triples and also led the 1936 ETL with 133 runs. He did not hit below .322 from 1934 to 1937. Baron was a player/manager for the last 5 years of his career.

Overall, Baron collected 2319 hits, 1269 runs and a .306 average in 2080 minor league games.
