Biographical Information

Chao-Ping Chen played for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team. His brother is CPBL catcher Chao-Ying Chen

Chen represented Taiwan in the 2003 Baseball World Cup; backing up Chih-Wei Shih at second base, he struck out against Alexei Valyalin his lone time up. The Uni-President Lions signed Chen in the 2006 season. Chen was 0 for 18 in the Lions minors, and he was released after that season. Chen then joined a amateur baseball team in Kaohsiung City.
