Biographical Information

Chang-Jung Hsieh had a brief career in the CPBL.

Hsieh was drafted by the Lamigo Monkeys in the 3rd round of the 2012 CPBL Draft, and he soon joined their bullpen. He had a 4.46 ERA in 51 game with 9 holds in 2013, and he was 7th in appearances (tied with Huan-Yang Chen). However, the overuse ruined his arm, and he underwent the Tommy John surgery after that season. The Monkeys released him in 2014, and his professional career ended.

Hsieh’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 89.4 mph), slider, changeup and curveball.
