Biographical Information[edit]
Chad Poeck pitched in the minor leagues and the Taiwan Major League.
Poeck began his professional career with the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks, and he went 5-8 with a 3.21 ERA for them in 1996. He was 1-4 with a 5.14 ERA for the Sioux Falls Canaries in 1997, then he went 4-4 with a 3.47 ERA in Thunder Bay in 1998. He completed a no-hitter against the Canaries on July 20, 1998. After having a 2.84 ERA in 20 games for the Schaumburg Flyers in 1999, the Texas Rangers signed him and Poeck played 9 games with a 1.20 ERA for the Port Charlotte Rangers. He notched 10 saves with a 4.22 ERA in 46 appearances for the Tulsa Drillers in 2000, and he signed with the Kaoping Fala. However, his ERA was 5.63 in 11 games in 2001, then he was released. Poeck returned to Schaumburg and had a 4-4 record with a 4.58 ERA, then he announced his retirement.
