Biographical Information

Chad Mauritz was on the South African national team in the 2005 Baseball World Cup; it is unclear if he is related to teammate Liall Mauritz. He made three appearances, one behind team leader Carl Michaels, but the lefty only totaled two innings. He allowed five hits, three walks, a hit batsman and six runs (all earned), tying Liall Mauritz and Tyrone Brandt for the team's highest ERA.
