Biographical Information

Chad MacDonald has been a scout. He worked for the Cleveland Indians (2000-2002), Los Angeles Angels (2003-2005) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2006-2010). His last two years with Arizona, he was Director of International Scouting. He became the New York Mets' Scouting Director in December 2010. After a year in that role, he was vice president/assistant general manager of player personnel of the San Diego Padres from 2012-2014. He then moved to the Atlanta Braves as Special Assistant to the General Manager.

MacDonald signed Kyle Denney, Jeremy Moore, Luke Scott, Andrew Toussaint and Luis Urías among others.
