César Quintero played in the minor leagues, reaching high A.

Quintero hit .301 for Venoco 1 in the 2004 Venezuelan Summer League. He only played 8 games for the 2005 VSL Astros, with a .367/.457/.700 batting line. Coming stateside with the 2006 Tri-City Valley Cats, he hit .333/.388/.444 in 18 games, seeing limited action despite the club's second-best batting average.

In 2007, Quintero batted .292/.346/.460 and scored 46 runs in 54 games for the Lexington Legends and hit .247/.282/.379 in 69 games for the Salem Avalanche. Overall, he scored 81 runs and stole 36 bases in 39 attempts. He also had 16 outfield assists. During the 2008 campaign, the 25-year-old produced at a .224/.274/.332 rate for Salem to end his minor league career.

Quintero played for the Leones del Caracas in the 2010 Caribbean Series. In their last game, he hit a 3-run homer off Raul Valdes, the tourney's All-Star LHSP.

He signed with the Templiers de Sénart of France for 2010.
