Founded in 1721, the Universidad Central de Venezuela is the oldest university in Venezuela. It has campuses in Caracas and Maracay. Manuel Malpica went here. Ramon Ortiz coached here from 1983-1985.
Both the Tiburones de La Guaira and the Leones del Caracas of the Venezuelan League play at Estadio Universitario de Caracas, which is located on campus.
