Centennial Field in Burlington, VT, was the home of Burlington affiliated baseball from 1955 through 2019. After that and the Coronavirus pandemic-canceled 2020 season, MLB's 2021 Minor League Reorganization eliminated the Vermont Lake Monsters and most other New York-Pennsylvania League teams.

The Monsters then joined the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

On the University of Vermont campus, its name reflects the fact that its complex was dedicated during UVM's 1904 centennial - but the stadium wasn't added until 1906. Its wooden bleachers, burned in 1913, were rebuilt in concrete and steel in 1922; to whichever of those you date it, it was the minors' oldest active park.

It was also UVM's baseball home until the school dropped the sport in 2009. In 1994, the Monsters and Catamounts made the college-short season arrangement - the benefit being the lack of any schedule overlap. Five NYPL teams moved that year, including the Jamestown Expos to Burlington. Ten years before, then-Mayor Bernie Sanders brought professional baseball back to town - a Double-A team from Lynn, MA.

UVM dropped baseball after the 2009 season.

Until the reorg, three affiliated teams played in a city named Burlington - more than any other, but none survived. Today, there are not even two same-name cities hosting minor league baseball.

Centennial Field has a capacity of 4,400 people.
