Category talk:Mexican National Team Players
We're up to 50. We now have 50+ national team players for Mexico, Australia, Canada, Cuba, the Netherlands, the Dominican Republic, Japan and the USA. South Korea is one away from being our 9th country and Italy, Taiwan and a couple others are closing in. - --Mischa 14:27, 30 May 2008 (EDT)
10th country to 100, following USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Italy and Canada. - --Mischa 14:20, 29 July 2010 (EDT)
Esteban Quiroz gets them to 150. 12th country there, after the USA, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Cuba, Italy, the Netherlands, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Canada and Australia. Just a month behind Australia and days before Nicaragua probably (Nicaragua's at 146 and is in the same tourney as Mexico right now) - --Mischa (talk) 15:26, 18 March 2016 (EDT)
With the addition of Roberto Garza (minors04), Mexico hits 200, the 9th country there - USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Venezuela and now Mexico. They've passed Australia again and also now passed the Netherlands and Italy. - --Mischa (talk) 13:13, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
Their 250th entry is Amadeo Zazueta and they're now up to 8th. They passed Canada and are now behind USA, Japan, Cuba, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Taiwan. - Mischa (talk) 21:19, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
Jesús Torrijos is the 300th player here. Up to 7th, passing Taiwan. They still trail the USA, Japan, Cuba, South Korea, Dominican Republic and Venezuela - Mischa (talk) 16:39, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
#350 is Yadir Drake. Still #7, after the USA, Japan, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and South Korea - Mischa (talk) 17:11, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Wilmer Ríos makes it 400. #7 still, behind the US, Japan, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Taiwan and Venezuela to that mark. They were passed by Taiwan (which got all its red links filled in by Rugosa) and passed South Korea. Given that the Koreans play in more events (4 Asian events every four years, plus global events, vs. 2 Americas events usually), they could get passed again by them. - Mischa (talk) 17:33, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
Alex Caldera got the category added nine years after his appearance for Mexico. That brings them to 450 entries, still 7th. They got here after the US, Japan, Dominican Republic, Taiwan, Cuba and Venezuela, but have made up ground on the latter two. - Mischa (talk) 09:35, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
