50 entries. Our 15th country to have that many - all the WBC nations except South Africa. - --Mischa 14:11, 15 July 2009 (EDT)

Up to 100 entries. Our 14th country there, following the USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Among the teams that have played in all 3 WBCs to date, China was the last one to make it to 100 - --Mischa 15:30, 5 March 2013 (EST)

Nan Du is our 150th player listed. They're the 16th country to make it, after the USA, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Cuba, Italy, the Netherlands, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and Panama. No surprise that Nicaragua and Panama have passed them as they've been fielding national teams for 60 years or so before China (1930 vs. 1990 as far as I can tell) - Mischa (talk) 17:13, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

To 200 with the addition of Bin Li. They're down to the 19th country, following USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Venezuela, Mexico, Italy, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, Australia, Colombia, Brazil and Great Britain. Since they hit 150, they've been passed by Colombia, Brazil and Britain. - Mischa (talk) 17:27, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

I think it's now complete-to-date with 247 players. That makes 10 Asian countries with no red links as they join Cambodia (18 players), Hong Kong (86), Indonesia (79), Israel (104), Japan (1,102), Laos (31), Mongolia (25), Pakistan (123) and Taiwan (586) - Mischa (talk) 14:58, 10 June 2024 (UTC)

Just a quick note. Asian countries that still had red links : Philippines (01 WC-1, 17AC-6, 19AC-4), Sri Lanka (17AC-1, 18AG-1, 19AC-3), Palestine (23 AC-3), South Korea (about 200 players). We are very close from complete all Asian countries except Korea.

Whoops! Missed that one Pakistani player. I can get him right now. We've been making good progress on most of these, as you note. - Mischa (talk) 15:41, 10 June 2024 (UTC)

Also Malaysia (2005 and 2011 SEAG); Philippines, Singapore are also missing players from the 2019 SEAG - Mischa (talk) 20:00, 10 June 2024 (UTC)

With a few more players being identified from their 1985 team, we're back to complete-to-date but now at 250. Baochang Xing was the 250th. They were the 18th there, after the US, Japan, Cuba, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Taiwan, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Panama, Italy, Colombia, Brazil, the Netherlands and Australia, having passed Britain back up . - Mischa (talk) 09:49, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
