Biographical Information[edit]

Starting at age 17, Carlos Lugo played in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim minor league system. He began in the Dominican Summer League in 2007 and played one game at the High-A level in his final season of 2012. Overall Lugo hit .182/.319/.236 while appearing in 193 games.

Lugo joined the Houston Astros organization in 2014, probably as a catching instructor.

Since 2019 Lugo has managed at the rookie levels of the Astros minor league system. He was scheduled to manage the DSL Astros in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic shut down the minor league season.
