Biographical Information[edit]
Buster Hoover was by far the best player on the 1884 Philadelphia Keystones of the Union Association. However, he didn't hit nearly as well in his shots in the National League and American Association.
Hoover played in 63 of the Keystones' 67 games (the league played over 100 games). If he had had enough plate appearances to qualify, he would have been # 2 in the league in Adjusted OPS+.
