Biographical information[edit]
Bud Kimball was a minor league player and manager.
A third baseman, he played in 1,220 games over the course of an 11-season career that spanned from 1941 to 1951. Perhaps his best season was 1945 with the St. Paul Saints. That season, he hit .315 with 22 home runs and 95 RBI - all career highs. He also had career highs in runs (101), hits (159), doubles (39) and walks (83) that season.
He managed the Granby Red Sox for part of the 1950 season, replacing Bob Latshaw and being replaced by Latshaw. In 1951, he served as co-manager of the Granby Red Sox with Vernon Thoele, replacing Oscar Major.
