Biographical Information[edit]
Bucky Jacobs was a pitcher with three cups of coffee with the Washington Senators and eight years in the minors. He worked at Bellwood Arsenal during World War II and went into the vacuum cleaner business in Richmond VA after the War. He died at age 77 after a heart attack and is buried at Forestlawn Cemetery in Richmond VA.
While a pitcher at the University of Richmond, Jacobs threw three no-hitters during a five week span in the Spring of 1937. He was inducted into the University of Richmond Hall of Fame in 1986.
