Brooks Gordon

Brooks Gordon was a minor league player and manager.
Gordon hit .233 for the 1904 Galveston Sand Crabs. In 1905, he slumped to .176 with Galveston club and Beaumont Millionaires/Brenham Orphans; he also managed both Galveston and Beaumont/Brenham for a period. He batted .257 and slugged .305 for the 1906 Austin Senators. He hit .209/?/.268 for Austin in 1907 and managed them to a Texas League title; he batted .242 for them in 1908 and managed them part of the year. He also coached the University of Texas that year. In '09, he fell to a .176 batting average and .204 slugging percentage for the Houston Buffaloes. During 1910, he hit .205 and slugged .246 as player-manager for the Waco Navigators. He guided the Macon Athletics in the short-lived 1911 Missouri State League. He hit .203 for the 1912 Canton Highlanders. In 1913, he was 9 for 28 for the Ardmore Giants and also managed them briefly. He guided the 1914 Ardmore Indians until they disbanded.
