First baseman Brock Pemberton played parts of two years in the majors, but his big league career was over before his 22nd birthday.

The son of minor league outfielder Cliff Pemberton, Pemberton was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended high school in California. He was selected by the New York Mets in the sixth round of the 1972 amateur draft and made his pro debut that summer. After hitting .322 for the Victoria Toros in 1974, he earned a September call-up to the Mets. In 11 games for New York that fall, he went 4-for-22. He hit .297 for the Tidewater Tides the following year and earned another late-season call-up to the majors, going 0-for-2.

Pemberton spent 1976 back with Tidewater and was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals after that season. He spent one year in their organization, did not play in 1978, and was with the Miami Amigos of the short-lived Inter-American League in 1979. He was a player-manager for the Macon Peaches for part of the 1980 season, his final campaign in professional baseball.

After baseball, Pemberton became a landscaping company construction foreman. He died in 2016 at age 62.
