Biographical Information[edit]
Brian Sossa was on the Bolivian national team in the 2011 South American Championship. He went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts for Bolivia in the 2013 Bolivarian Games. He had one error in five chances as a backup second baseman. He hit .400/.438/.467 with two steals, a run and a RBI in the 2016 South American Championship. In the round-robin phase, he led Bolivia in average (.333), slugging (.417) and hits (4, tied with Kenta Bani) while playing error-free defense (8 PO, 1 A). Brian Peñafiel edged him for the best OPS (by 25 points). He then went 2 for 3 with a walk in the 5th/6th place game.
