Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Brandol Perez was signed by the Seattle Mariners on April 23, 2010 by scouts Patrick Guerrero and Bob Engle. With the DSL Mariners that year, he posted a 7-0 record, while allowing only one earned run in 48 1/3 innings for a 0.19 ERA. He also allowed only 20 hits, walked only 14 batters and struck out 68.
Despite his other-worldly statistics and once being considered the Mariners' top Latin American prospect, the team released him.[1] The club signed him believing he was 16 years old, when he was really 19. He also fractured his left elbow while in their system. The Milwaukee Brewers later signed him, but he did not pitch for them.
