Biographical Information

Infielder Brady House was the 11th overall selection in the 2021 amateur draft, taken by the Washington Nationals out of a high school in Georgia. He was signed for a signing bonus of $5 million and made his professional debut that same year with the FCL Nationals, hitting .322 in 16 games.

In his first two seasons as a pro, House played shortstop exclusively, as he had done in high school, although the Nats were mindful that given his 6'4" frame that was still filling out, he was most likely to be a third baseman in the majors. In 2022, he spent a full season with the Fredericksburg Nationals of the Carolina League, hitting .278/.356/.375 in 45 games, with his season ending prematurely in June due to a back injury. In 2023, he played in a total of 88 games between three stops - Fredericksburg, the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the South Atlantic League, and the Harrisburg Senators of the Eastern League. His combined slash line was .312/.365/.497 with 12 homers and 47 RBIs, with third base being his sole defensive position. He was named to play in the 2023 Futures Game and was named an organizational All-Star after the season.
