Biographical Information[edit]

"Experts who have watched him work say he shows signs of being a great pitcher. He has a fine assortment and a side arm delivery that he occasionally works to great advantage." - Sporting Life's assessment of Brad Hogg in the September 16, 1911 issue

There have been three Hoggs in major league baseball. Carter Bradley "Brad" Hogg was the second, appearing in 1911-1912, 1915 and 1918-1919. In both 1915 and 1918, his ERA was better than average. In 1918, he tied for the team lead in victories with 13 for the Philadelphia Phillies. With the Phillies, he was two years older than teammate and future Hall of Famer Dave Bancroft.

Brad also had seven seasons in the minors. In order of the number of victories, he went 27-13 for the minor league Los Angeles Angels in 1917, was 22-12 for the 1915 Mobile Bears, had a 19-14 record for the 1914 Mobile team, was 18-10 for the 1913 Mobile team, posted a 16-9 record for the 1916 Angels team, was 13-13 for the Phillies in 1918 and was 10-3 for the 1911 Haverhill Hustlers.

This site [1] says he was a sidearm pitcher.
