The Boise Buckskins represented Boise, ID in the Northwest League for one year (1978). The team went 23-49, the worst record in the league, as an independent team, though they drew 23,126 fans, fourth among the 8 teams in the NWL that year. Gerry Craft was the manager. Their 6.42 ERA was almost a point worse than any other team. The offense was led by All-Star DH Danny Thomas (.359/~.455/.653, the league leader in average), All-Star 1B Emil Drzayich (.311/~.407/.476) and OF Nick Belmonte (.331/~.416/.436, the league leader with 52 SB in 62 tries and 75 runs in 72 games).
