Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Todd was a college coach, winning over 1,000 games.
Todd was assistant coach at Ritenour High School (1971-1973) and Missouri from 1974-1983 then was head coach of Kent State University (1984-1987) and Ohio State University (1988-2010). He was Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year in 1989, 1994, 1999, 2001 and 2009, the first five-time winner. He coached future major leaguers Jeff Tabaka, Chris George, Bill Wertz, Mike Durant, Scott Klingenbeck, Nick Swisher, Josh Newman and Scott Lewis. He was 1,021-553-2 overall and was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He coached for Team USA in the 1994 Baseball World Cup.
