Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Bob Ralston was drafted in the 6th round of the 1984 amateur draft by the Minnesota Twins. He played in the Twins chain from 1984 to 1989 spending 1984-1985 and 1987 at AA and 1986 and 1988-1989 in AAA. Ralston finished up with a season at AA for the Oakland A's in 1990. Even though he played 7 seven seasons in AA and AAA without playing lower, he never made the majors.

Ralston was an assistant coach at University of California in 1990-1991 and Diablo Valley College in 1992-1994. He was the head coach at St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in 1995-1998 and Clayton Valley High School in 1999-2006, Diablo Valley College in 2007-2008 [1], and Clayton Valley High again in 2009-2011. He was named head coach at California State University, East Bay for 2012. He stepped down at the end of 2016 with a 134-114 record, the first coach in school history to finish with a winning record. He set a school record with 33 wins his final year.
