Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Hannah was 1,053-463-6 as head coach of the University of Delaware from 1965-2000. He set the school record for wins (regardless of sport), won 22 conference titles, 9 conference Coach of the Year honors and took the team to the 1970 College World Series. He was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame (1991), University of Delaware Athletics Hall of Fame (2003) and Mid-American Conference Hall of Fame (2019). He coached several future major leaguers, including Kevin Mench and Tommy Herr.
Hannah was the head coach of Delaware's freshman team in 1963-1964, and he co-authored "University of Delaware Baseball Notebook" with Tubby Raymond in 1964. The 85 page book has chapters on fundamentals for hitting pitching and fielding at each position.
