Robert Crawford Flynn

Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Flynn was a minor league player and a college coach.

After graduating from high school, Flynn played in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. After his professional baseball career which spanned from 1952-1957, Flynn graduated from college and taught at several Maine high schools. Eventually he moved to Bates College, where, in addition to baseball, he coached golf, skiing, tennis and football. His greatest success came as a ski coach, winning the 1976 NCAA ski championship.
