Biographical Information[edit]
After serving in the Army during the Korean War, pitcher Bob Berresford played two seasons of minor league baseball. He went 6-18 with a 4.89 ERA for the 1952 Harrisburg Senators, walking 138 in 171 innings. He led the Interstate League in losses, walks, runs allowed (126) and earned runs allowed (93). He did have one of the best games in the league that year, though, a 1-0 no-hitter against the Wilmington Blue Rocks on June 5. In '53, he pitched for the Drummondville Royals and St. Hyacinthe A's (a combined 2-7, 6.67 with 96 BB in 89 IP) and the Savannah Indians. He later was a softball umpire.
