Biographical Information[edit]
First-baseman Bob Benish twice topped 100 RBI, including 1946, when he hit .355 for Troy.
Benish also managed in the minors for six seasons and pitched during his managerial career. He was suspended along with catcher Bob Odenheimer for the first 60 days of the 1949 season due to an attack on umpire Ben Smith on August 29, 1948.
