Biographical Information[edit]

Blas Monaco played two seasons in the major leagues, many years apart, and as that usually implies, he had a long minor league career.

He played in the Northern League in 1936 and 1937. He was with the Baltimore Orioles in 1943, getting 127 walks, and in 1944 led the league with 167 walks.

When he first came up with the Cleveland Indians in 1937, he was 21 years old, and Odell Hale, who played second for the Indians through most of the 1930s, owned the position.
