Biographical Information[edit]

Blake Crosby played a season in the minors. He is the son of Ed Crosby and brother of Bobby Crosby.

Blake hit .482 as a high school senior. As a freshman at BYU, he hit .322/.367/.382. He transferred to Sacramento State and hit .258/.315/.311 as a sophomore. His junior year, he batted .270/.353/.385. He improved to .397/.449/.507 as a senior in 2009. The Oakland Athletics took him in the 42nd round of the 2009 amateur draft and he went 15 for 69 (all singles) with 5 walks, 6 runs and 6 RBI in 20 games for the AZL Athletics. He fielded .947 at 3B and 1.000 at 1B.

He later was a Toronto Blue Jays scout, signing Andy Burns. From 2018-2022, he was the Jays' national scouting supervisor. He then moved to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a special assignment scout.
