Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Schwartz came to the majors in 1904. In 1909 he replaced J. Breckenridge as manager of the Akron Champs in the Ohio-Pennsylvania League. In 1910 he played for the Nashville Volunteers, and in 1911 he became the team's manager, a position he held through 1915.
Schwartz was the coach at Vanderbilt University in 1917, 1924-1940 and 1952.
