Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Schroeder was signed as an 8th round pick in the 1979 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers and scout Walter Youse.
Since 1995, Schroeder has been a Milwaukee Brewers television color commentator.
Records formerly held[edit]
Schroeder had been the fastest Brewer to 20 career homers (94 games) before Ryan Braun demolished his record with 64 games in 2007.
And Schroeder held the major league record for the most career HR by a player with more HR than walks (61/58) until Todd Greene broke it, with 71 HR and 67 walks.
