Walter Youse

Biographical Information[edit]
After serving in the navy during World War II, Walter Youse made two appearances on the mound for the Seaford Eagles in 1946. Youse managed Seaford for part of 1946, the Welch Miners for part of 1947, and the Bluefield Orioles for 2 weeks (7/7-7/20) in 1961.
Youse scouted for the Baltimore Orioles (1957-1974), California Angels (1975-1977), and Milwaukee Brewers (1978-199?). He was a scouting supervisor his last year with the Angels and most of his time with the Brewers.
Youse was a longtime amateur baseball coach in the Baltimore area, where he coached future Hall of Famers Al Kaline and Reggie Jackson.
