Biographical Information[edit]

Bill Mobilia was drafted three times out of the University of Minnesota: first by the New York Mets in the 19th round of the 1992 Amateur Draft, then by the Chicago White Sox in the 18th round of the 1993 Amateur Draft, and finally by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 24th round of the 1994 Amateur Draft.

An infielder, he played two seasons in the Phillies' farm system, with the Batavia Clippers in 1994 and the Piedmont Phillies in 1995. He batted .248 in 262 career at bats.

Mobilia was a three-year starting shortstop for the Golden Gophers, 1992-1994. He graduated from Ely Memorial High School in 1989.
