Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Haeffner played in the majors three times, years apart from each other. He was in the majors in 1915, 1920, and 1928. Almost all of his at-bats were in 1920.
At one time, Haeffner played for a semi-pro team called the Nashua Millionaires, and he was the hero of a kid named Birdie Tebbetts. Haeffner loaned Tebbetts a glove, and Tebbetts' career started. Source: 1957 story about Tebbetts
