Benjamin Shulman

Biographical Information[edit]

Ben Shulman is the son of long-time Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster Dan Shulman. In 2024, at only 23, he was named the principal radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Blue Jays, working with former major league pitcher Chris Leroux as his analyst. It was noted at the time of his appointment that his predecessor, Ben Wagner, had never had a regular partner over his six seasons as the team's radio voice, and was often left to do the broadcast on his own. Part of Shulman's duties also include filling in for his father on television broadcasts from time to time.

He began his career as a broadcaster working games for the NBA's Toronto Raptors on the radio, and also covered the Canadian Women's Basketball Team in their qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics. He also served as Wagner's back-up on radio broadcasts in 2023. He studied journalism at Syracuse University.
