Biographical Information

Ben Serunkuma and Umar Male were the first Ugandan players to sign with a MLB team when they were inked by the Los Angeles Dodgers in January 2022. He had a solid pro debut in 12 outings for the DSL Dodgers Bautista, going 2-1 with a 2.11 ERA. He walked only 3 in 21 1/3 IP, with a .98 WHIP. The team's top relievers were an intentional mix with Spain's Peter Bonilla, Colombia's Sean Linan, Brazil's Kinn Omosako and Mexico's Jesus Luna.
