Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Ben Rosenthal played 4 seasons in the minor leagues from 2003 to 2006.
Rosenthal was an assistant coach at University City High School (San Diego) then assistant at Bishop Gorman High School in 2011-2012 and head coach at Mira Mesa High School in 2013. He was an assistant coach at Point Loma Nazarene University from 2014-2016.
Rosenthal became a coach with the Quad Cities River Bandits in 2017, Buies Creek Astros in 2018, and Round Rock Express in 2019. He was scheduled to return to Round Rock in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19. Rosenthal was coach of the Sugar Land Skeeters in 2021. In 2022, he joined the Boston Red Sox as assistant hitting coach for the major league team.
