Biographical Information[edit]

Ben Bizier played and coached in Germany then became a college coach.

Bizier played error-free ball in college. [1] He was player-coach of the Pulheim Gophers from 2007-2009, as they moved up from regional competition to the second-tier Bundesliga to the top level in '09. He hit .294/.444/.353 with 28 runs in 23 games, while fielding .904 as a middle infielder. He was 5th in the northern Bundesliga-1 in runs (between Moritz Buttgereit and Jendrick Speer), tied for 6th in times plunked (6), 2nd in steals (15, 4 behind Chris Beck), second to Beck in steal percentage (he was only caught twice), 3rd in assists (67) and 1st in errors (13). Returning to the US, he was assistant coach at Broward College (2010-2013) then was their head coach from 2014-2018, going 144-117 and twice being named Southern Conference Coach of the Year. [3] He then became head coach of Florida SouthWestern State College, posting a 40-14 record his first year and winning Suncoast Conference Coach of the Year in 2019. The team was 16-11 in 2020 before the season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. He led the school to a team-record 44 wins (against 16 losses) in 2021 and was again Suncoast Coach of the Year.
