Biographical Information[edit]
Barry Latman, who pitched 11 seasons in the majors, split his time between starting and relieving. Except for 1965, he always started some games each year, with 134 lifetime starts in 344 lifetime appearances. In the heart of his career, 1959-1964, he started around half of his appearances each year.
In 1961 he went 13-5 with 5 saves (18 starts in 45 appearances) for the Cleveland Indians, and was named to the All-Star team.
