Barney Cleveland was a minor league third baseman and manager in the 1920s.
Cleveland hit .274/?/.426 with 37 doubles and 7 triples for the 1921 Enid Harvesters. He tied for second in the Western Association in doubles, one behind Hooks Cotter, and was 5th with 11 homers. He fielded .939 at 3B. With the '22 Sapulpa Sappers, he batted .285/?/.407 with 7 triples and 9 home runs. He tied for 10th in the Southwestern League in dingers. During 1923, he batted .327/?/.518 with 25 doubles, 11 triples and 17 home runs while fielding .941; he also was 0-1 in five pitching appearances. He tied for 9th in triples, tied for 6th in home runs and was 10th in slugging.
Solely a player in 1925, Cleveland hit .310/?/.391 with 33 doubles for the Norfolk Tars. He was 9th in the Virginia League in two-baggers. In '26, Cleveland was a player-manager again, with the Frederick Hustlers; he hit .305/?/.385. In 1927, he batted .304/?/.418 with 38 doubles. He tied for third in the Piedmont League, behind Bill Windle and Moose Clabaugh.
