Biographical Information[edit]
Hooks Cotter played 99 games with the Chicago Cubs between 1922 and 1924. He made the most starts for the club at first in 1924, batting .261/.338/.377 with 39 runs scored. He attracted attention when he hit .396 for the Springfield Midgets of the Western Association in 1922. After his time in the majors, he played in the American Association from 1925 to 1930 and for the Dallas Steers of the Texas League in 1931. It is said he owned an apartment building after his playing days.
