In 1950, the Bangor Pickers became the Bangor Bangors. Based in Bangor, PA, they were the last professional baseball team located there. They played in the North Atlantic League in its final season and finished in sixth place at 65-71. They drew 15,302 fans, also sixth in the circuit. First baseman Al Gardella (.285/~.421/.371) was the player-manager and even pitched on occasion (3-5, 4.78). The star performer was his brother, OF Danny Gardella (.337/~.447/.547 in 26 games).
