Biographical Information

Asdrubal Infante, older brother of Omar Infante, was a promising pitching prospect in the Detroit Tigers' organization before he was murdered in a robbery in Venezuela in 1999.

Infante split 1999 between the GCL Tigers (3-0, 2 Sv, 1.09, 17 H, 51 K in 33 IP) and the Lakeland Tigers (2 R in 4 IP). Had he qualified, he would have led the Gulf Coast League in ERA.
