Biographical Information[edit]
Art Kruger spent four seasons in the majors with three different leagues. In the minors he played years in the Pacific Coast League.
He had trouble fielding ground balls, per Sporting Life of 12/16/1905.
The SABR history of the 1915 Kansas City Packers states that Kruger was sometimes mistaken for Art "Otto" Krueger. On June 23, he hit a pinch-hit grand slam, one of the few hit in those days. 1915 Packers
Art was remembered in 2017 when three Oakland Athletics players each hit their first major league home run in the same game. Art and two of his teammates with the Packers in 1914 had done the same thing, and it was the first time ever. [1]
