Biographical Information[edit]
Arkaradech Jitpong was an infielder for the Thai national team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers but did not get into a game. Backing up Adichat Wongvichit at 2B in the 2014 Asian Games, he was 0 for 1 and did not get a chance in 3 innings at second base. In the 2018 Asian Games, he saw a bit more action. In the opener against Laos, he took over at short for Phoomwut Wutthikorn in a 15-0 win. He flew out against Cola Phouangkeo his first time up; the next time, he singled off Soua Xong to score Sakai Phraechai. He had one putout and one assist. He replaced Wutthikorn at short in a win over Sri Lanka but did not get to the plate or handle a chance in the field. He replaced Wutthikorn at short in a loss to Japan, did not bat and got one assist. Finally, against Indonesia, he started at short and hit 9th. He flew out in the 3rd against Hadi Nur Muhammad and had two putouts, an assist and an error; Wutthikorn took over in the bottom of the 3rd after the error, with Thailand in a 6-0 hole.
